It is widely believed that a spiritual ardour comes to a soul that is content in its being, and Mangalaa Suneri is the perfect example of that. A dutiful daughter, she had to make decisions for herself that most people would have thought twice before making, all the while having faith in herself and holding steadfast to the belief that a mother can never be wrong, and this belief of hers was her greatest blessing. Every decision she made helped her on her journey towards attaining her true goal and she emerged victorious.
Suneri has been a true believer of the philosophy: “LIFE IS NOT ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF; LIFE IS ABOUT CREATING YOURSELF.” And she has created for herself a life that is most coveted. Mangalaa has also received the Golden Women’s Achievers Award in 2021. Having been blessed with a supportive spouse and a beautiful little daughter, this engineer turned Occultist is surely setting the bars high.

Questions and answers
You mentioned that you had wanted to be an actor but didn’t receive the support of your family and relented to their wishes. Did you at any point feel that it was unfair or wanted to rebel? If yes, what stopped you?
I never felt rebellious because I understood their point of view. According to our parent’s generation, the only way a girl can settle down in life is by getting married, my family just wanted me to have a secure life. I always believe that a mother always wants the best for their kids, when my mother said no to my career as an actor, I respected that. A mother can never go wrong! If she thinks that I will get the best life after marriage, then yes. She is right. And she didn’t go wrong! My life has been beautiful since marriage.
What was the most difficult thing about quitting the job you had rightfully earned with your hard work? How did your parents react to it?
My parents never forced me to get married. Initially, my mother was not so happy about me quitting the job. Because she was so proud of her independent daughter. Even though it was an arranged marriage, I had found the right man for me and I didn’t want to let go of him. I prioritised my personal life over my professional life. So, it was my choice to leave my dream job to get married to the man of my dreams.
You mentioned that your spouse had been your greatest support system. Was it something that you realised with time? If yes, how did that change your first impression of him?
When I started talking to him before our marriage, I got to know that he is calm and composed (unlike me) and very understanding but only after marriage, I realised how supportive he is to all my dreams, accepting me the way I am and constantly guiding me to become a better version of myself.
Engineering and acting - these fields are as different from each other as can be. If you had been given the option to choose between the two, which one do you believe you would have chosen?
Acting any day! Me becoming an Engineer was my mom’s dream, me becoming an actor is my dream.

How did you first get acquainted with the spiritually inquisitive side of yours and how did you get started?
From a young age, I realised I was blessed with a gift that enabled me to sense things others could not. When my spiritual angels brought me to tarot, I easily got connected to the cards and was thrilled to know in-depth about tarot cards.
I started with tarot cards and now I know more than 6 modalities in Occult science
What are some of the changes that you have noticed without you and your relationship with those around you since you started practising and teaching Occult sciences?
Ever since I started practising occult science, I found peace within myself. I changed the way I look at life. I started showing gratitude to everything around me and this helped me have a satisfied and happy life. My biggest learning is to understand how to balance my emotions.
