The French fashion mogul Bernard Arnault has now surpassed Jeff Bezos’ net worth. As a result, Arnault is currently the world’s richest person. While he is a business tycoon, many of us would not be familiar with his name. On the contrary, his multinational conglomerate LVMH – Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, commonly known as Louis Vuitton, needs no introduction.
Speaking specifically about Thursday, the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires List observed that Arnault’s net worth is $199.1 billion. The other billionaires, namely Jeff Bezos, has a net worth of $193.8 billion and Elon Musk’s net worth is $184.7 billion. The Amazon founder’s net worth flunked by approximately $590 billion.
According to Forbes Real-Time Billionaires List after Elon Musk, Microsoft founder Bill Gates is at $132.0 billion, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stands at $130.6 billion, the co-founder of the search engine Google, Larry Page is at $116.5 billion. Additionally, Oracle’s co-founder Larry Ellison has a net worth of $116.4 billion and, Sergey Brin’s net worth stands at $112.8 billion. The Forbes list suggests the coming down of Warren Buffet’s net worth to $101.6 billion.
What Are The Subsidiaries Overseen By Bernard Arnault?
The French luxury multinational corporation Louis Vuitton’s chairperson and chief executive, Mr Arnault’s empire is not limited to LVMH only. Thereby, about 70 brands are associated with LVMH. Some of the luxury brands such as Sephora, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Tiffany & Co, Emilio Pucci, Guerlain, Fendi, Nicholas Kirkwood, Thomas Pink, EDUN, Donna Karen, Moynat, TAG Heuer, De Beers and Bulgari comes in the list. The billionaire also has the ownership of a 96.5 per cent stake in the French fashion company Christian Dior.
The Forbes List further includes the chairperson of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Mukesh Ambani, having a net worth of $79.8 billion. He is at the twelfth spot. The other Indian businessman, Gautam Adani is at the 23rd spot with a net worth of $55.6 billion. Moreover, the founder of HCL Technologies, Shiv Nadar has a rise in his net worth to $25.8 billion.
