The biggest leap of my life
Karan Singh says, “My family was not entirely supportive of choosing dance as a profession. When I entered college, I had two choices. One was Boxing which was something I was good at, and the other was dance which had been my passion since long time. At a state-level boxing match, I was just about to win the game when I got a call to audition for a dance competition that I had always wanted to be a part of. I would have perhaps represented my state on the national level at boxing as I was the captain, but I decided to stake everything and audition for the dance contest. I remember taking a five hour journey from Jodhpur to Ajmer for the audition.
I received a lot of criticism from my family for quitting the finals of the boxing tournament to audition for dance, but little did they know that the art form was going to be my calling for life. I won the dance contest I had auditioned for, and was awarded a bike by the sponsors.
After this incident in my my life changed in the best way. That day onwards, I celebrated my freedom and victory every day, and my family supported me to pursue my passion. After that there was no looking back and I won many trophies and was awarded cash prizes too. By then, I had eventually mastered the art of dancing.
After this incident in my life, my life changed in the best way. That day onwards, I celebrated my freedom and victory every day, and my family wholeheartedly supported me and my passion. Days passed by and I kept bringing in trophies and cash prizes. By then, I had eventually mastered the art of dancing.
I have established myself professionally and have performed in events around the world. I’m the founder of a event and production company and have hosted several events successfully. I have also been a choreographer for many albums and have choreographed some songs in few movies too. I have a dream to choreograph a dance routine for 1000 artists at one go, and I am working hard towards it as I believe in living life with no regrets.
All I want to say is if you ever wish to make people believe in you or your dreams, you need to work on yourself and prove yourself by your actions and progress and not just your words.”
