Preity Zinta and husband Gene welcome home twins
Preity Zinta and her husband Gene Goodenough have become parents of twins today, via surrogacy. The couple surprised everyone with the good news, shared by Preity Zinta on her Instagram account.
“Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene and I are overjoyed and our hearts are filled with so much gratitude and with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough and Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family. We are very excited about this new phase in our lives.” Said the actress.
The actress shared the names of the twins as Jai and Gia (Jia) with her Instagram family in the post.
While sharing the new names and welcoming the new members to her life, the actress also thanked the doctors and nurses to help her through the journey. She also thanked the surrogate for helping out the couple.
The actress went on to thank the doctors and their surrogate “for being part of this incredible journey”: “A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and to our surrogate for being part of this incredible journey. Loads of love and light – Gene, Preity, Jai and Gia. #gratitude#family #twins.” Wrote the 46-year-old actress while sharing a picture of her and her husband Gene Goodenough.
Surrogacy in trend
the 46-year-old actress chose the method of surrogacy to become a mother. The actress is not the first celebrity to have done it, this has been the chosen method of parenthood for many celebrities before like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty and Aamir Khan among others.
Shah Rukh Khan’s youngest son Abram was born in 2013 via surrogacy. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were blessed with a baby daughter in 2020 via surrogacy.
Preity Zinta had her first children through surrogacy as she does not have any children prior to the twins.

Preity Zinta made her Bollywood debut in 1998 with the movie “Dil se” by Mani Ratnam. Everyone in the audience instantly fell for the dimples and cuteness of the actress.
She went onto star in many movies since then such as ‘Soldier’, ‘Kya Kehna’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’, ‘Veer-Zaara’, among others.
The actress’ last movie was action-comedy ‘Bhaiaji Superhit’ which released in 2018. The actress had come out of a 7-year hiatus to hit the screens and please her fans.
However, the film did not perform that well and the actress again went away from the big screen.
Preity Zinta is also the founder of PZNZ Media, a production company. PZNZ Media or Preity Zinta is the co-owner of the KXIP IPL team with about a 23% stake.
Married life
Preity tied the knot with her longtime beau, Gene on February 28, 2016. The couple got married in an intimate Hindu wedding ceremony that took place in Los Angeles. The wedding was attended by their family members and close friends. The pair hosted a grand party in Mumbai for Preity’s friends and colleagues. Many celebs added the glamour quotient to her lavish reception.

Gene Goodenough is a financial analyst based out of Los Angeles, USA.
Given that the Kal Ho Na Ho star has a good education backing with a post-graduate degree in criminal psychology, Gene comes as a well-qualified professional and a good-enough partner for the actress. (Sorry for the pun ☹)
He is currently working with NLine Energy Inc., a renewable energy development company in LA, as the Senior Vice President in their Product & Finance department. Before that Preity Zinta’s husband worked with the Bank of America as their Assistant Vice President, and prior to that, he worked as the Vice President/Director of Product Management at Interthinx.
