Questions and answers
Draw some light on when did you first realize your interest to be a fitness professional?
After my Angioplasty in 2015, I noticed a difference in myself and decided to learn more about it so that I might help others. That’s when I decided to pursue a career in fitness as a professional.
As a fitness consultant, could you please share with us your fitness training style and how do you motivate clients who are quite indolent?
I’ve set up my own gym, and I work out here at least five days a week. Aside from that, I do strength training and eat a healthy diet. And when it comes to my clients, I attempt to figure out what their challenges are, why they aren’t able to do things, and then make changes to their programs appropriately.
What were the major roadblocks you faced in this journey as a nutrition and fitness coach and what were your ways of overcoming them?
When I first started, I noticed that many were unaware of basic concepts such as calorie counting and protein consumption. So attempting to persuade people to consume enough protein was a huge obstacle at the time. Trying to convince people to consume more protein since those who do not consume enough protein are more interested in carbohydrates.

After you went through 4 angioplasty stents, what was the one strength that kept you mentally motivated and made you see the light at the end of this tunnel?
When I had the procedure, I knew that there was no other alternative for me; the only option was to get fit, stay fit, and take care of my mother, as my father had died when I was very young. The fact that there was no one after me to care of my mother assisted me greatly in maintaining my fitness.
What do you believe are some of the harmful ways of losing weight and what are the repercussions of such ways?
Crash dieting is the most dangerous of all. People suddenly discover they’ve acquired a lot of weight and have a function coming up, so they aim to reduce 8-10 kilograms in a month. As a result, the metabolism is harmed, and any weight lost by crash dieting is quickly regained.
You have been in this field for the last 6.5 years. Share with us a clientele experience that has led to a professional impact on you?
I had had a customer who weighed 144 kg and she was depressed and suffering from numerous health problems as a result of her weight. However, once she began the program, she was completely committed to it, and by the end of it, she had lost roughly 78 kg. In terms of commitment and dedication, I’ve learned a lot from her. A multitude of people these days are in need of a proper nutritionist in life but often believe it to be too expensive and thereby abstain. What would be your message to them be?
You may genuinely follow a proper diet by eating simple household foods like dal, rice, chicken, and eggs. People believe that nutrition is costly, but what is actually expensive is treatments for medical conditions that may arise later. All you have to do now is keep track of your calories. You are not required to bring any pricey foods.
How do you motivate your clients when they are going through a rough patch and do not want to get out of bed?
I basically empathize with them, and when they go through difficult times, I tell them about my life experiences and how I overcame them. They see my old transformation photos and read my tale, which inspires them. They feel that if he can do it after four stents then we can obviously do it too.
Food can be both medicines as well as poison depending upon the situation. How are the strategies you use to create the care plan for your clients to overcome their health issues?
People believe that if food is nutritious, they should consume as much of it as possible. I try to educate them on nutrition fundamentals. Some foods, such as chocolate and ice cream, are considered to be unhealthy. However, keeping a modest portion of our diet as chocolate or ice cream is not a problem. It’s just that the quantity can’t go above a certain limit.
Where do you see Your fitness lane in the next 5 years and what are the new ideas you would like to incorporate?
I want Your Fitness Lane to be one of India’s top three fitness companies. That is my ambition. In addition to that, I’m attempting to form partnerships with other corporations, as many multinational companies now require their staff to adhere to a fitness routine.
