Akshay Kumar is yet again back with an intense action movie packed with humour, romance, entertainment and everything that will surely grab your attention. The superstar is known for delivering consistent hit content at the box office and this time as well, he is back with his new project of 2022: “Bachchhan Paandey”. The trailer of the movie got released on February 18 and in no time, it stirred excitement and buzz all around.

The Trailer

Helmed by Farhad Samji, the trailer of “Bachchhan Pandaay” starts off with Myra Devekar (Kriti Sanon) who has a desire to direct a biopic on the one-eyed gangster Bachchhan Pandaay of Baghwa, played by Akshay Kumar. Arshad Warsi, too is seen accompanying Kriti in this high-risk task. While, Akshay Kumar is effortlessly pulling off the role of a deadly ganster who dominates the realm of menacing violence and claims himself as the ‘God Father’ of this blood-curdling world, Kriti too shines in the role of an aspiring director.

However, the plot also highlights several thrilling twists, comic humour and the love-life of the gangster. Jacqueline Fernandez plays the role of his lady love while the rest of the cast include Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar and Sanjay Mishra.

 Akshay does it his way

The Khiladi actor is a champion when it comes to justifying a role and this movie is no exception. From the start of the trailer till the end, Akshay is simply a treat to watch. He has gone into the skin of the character and has perfectly embodied the terror that a gangster holds. From being the lover of Sophie (Jacqueline Fernandez) to ultimately killing her, speaks of the gruesome nature of Bachchhan.

Sajid Nadiadwala- Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala have had a long cinematic journey together. From films like Waqt Humara Hai to the entire series of Housefull – the duo has nailed it times and again.

Talking about the film, Akshay Kumar said,  “It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Sajid Nadiadwala. He and I go back years, we were friends long before we became actor-producer. And one can only imagine what fun it is to work with friends.  Bachchhan Paandey is my tenth film with him and audiences can expect ten times the entertainment with this one.”

Sajid Nadiadwala, too expressed his emotions about his project. “This film is special to me for many reasons. Bachchhan Paandey marks Akshay Kumar’s tenth film with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, and Jacqueline’s eighth film under the banner. It’s also a proud moment for me because we launched Kriti Sanon with Heropanti and she has delivered a rock-solid performance in this film. Farhad Samji is an extremely talented director and after several successful films together I’m hoping we have another winner on our hands.”

A remake?

 Bollywood has come up with several remakes that have performed well at the box office and yes, Bachchhan Pandaay is also an adaptation of Tamil movie, Jigar Thanda which starred Siddharth and the movie was directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The movie won accolades and proved to be a success.

As soon as the trailer of the movie was released, the fans went crazy and poured immense love on it, calling it a blockbuster. They loved it to bits and are eagerly looking forward to the big day of release.
