Saksham Kailoo, 22 years old, final year Ayurveda Student belongs to Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. He and his team have been working tirelessly for society since the pandemic began in March 2020. He founded One Life Infinite Happiness, an affiliate of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Research Foundation in New Delhi, with the goal of improving every individual’s mental health. His project is listed in the India Book Of Records as well as the Four World Records. His team has implemented counseling sessions, legal assistance, ration distribution, fundraising, jobs, and internships. Not only this, but Saksham is also the author of five books and the co-author of 75 others.
Saksham shares with Storiyaan, “I learned a great deal. It encouraged me in developing abilities such as risk-taking, determination, dedication, empathy, and, most importantly, leadership, all of which are essential for running a successful firm”.
One Life Infinite Happiness (OLIH), a Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Research Foundation affiliate, began with the goal of reducing total cases of Mental Health Disorders. Since July 2020, they have offered free counseling, medical assistance, legal assistance, internships, volunteerism, fundraising, food drives, and other services. All of these services are only performed by specialists. They’ve done 500+ counseling sessions, 8+ food drives, and 16+ fundraisers within a span of 1 year. Sexual abuse, Rape, Domestic Violence, Depression, Anxiety, and other serious instances have been addressed by them.
His greatest hurdle, he believes, was persuading individuals suffering from Mental Health Disorders to participate in counseling. “It is essential that we break through their stigma. With lots of motivation from my team, I was able to overcome it. We promised to keep their identities hidden, not to criticize them, and to always be there for them,” he mentions.
His hard work and passion have earned him various accolades and awards such as India Book Of Records, Vajra World Record, Spectrum Shoorveer Award, International Kalam’s Golden Award, Most Deserving Award by AwardsArc, Human Rights Nobel Award, Corona Warrior Award by GHRT, Author of the year 2020 by Ne8x Litfest and Forever star book of World Records.
