Kanak: Living in Vogue !

I am a Bsc biotech graduate with an MBA in HR. Initially I was working in the corporate sector with some giants that included Raymond, Pidilite, and Seeba industries.

My work gave me happiness but I always longed for doing something out of the box. Though I have always loved my job, somewhere the feelings of void stuck through it all.

I woke up every day and worked hard but the fact that I was working for someone else when I could work for myself, bothered me.

After a while, I got married into a marwari family. Marwari families usually stick to the tradition of women staying back and taking care of the household. I respected that and decided to leave my job.

After I quit my job, I had an uncensored freedom to chase my dreams and do all the things I always wanted to.

From childhood, I loved adorning outfits and chunky jewellery. I also liked analyzing fashion face offs, trends and styling. One day, I casually started creating content around fashion and lifestyle. I still remember my first reel had opened the doors for appreciation for me. I got the chance to work with renowned brands like Sugar, The Pink Foundry and a few others.

Initially when I started as a blogger, the Instagram community admired my content but with the good comes the bad. I received some negative comments when I wasn’t able to keep up with the trends. Sometimes a post performs extremely well and sometimes it goes down. Accepting that truth was a little difficult in the start.

But I have always believed that we should focus on the good parts so I kept going. Those days and today, it’s been a rocky but rewarding journey.

I feel the warm fuzz within when I wake up everyday to doing something I never get tired of, something I can call my own.

I have realised that there are going to be bad days but then there are going to be good days as well, it all depends on how we keep our calm during those bad days and keep going! And that has been my mantra throughout life.
