Lajja Brahmbhatta: Swaying vocation to building a brand.
Being an average student I always wanted to do something which makes me happy. For me completing law and then doing an MBA was an incredible job according to my parents. However, doing corporate jobs would not fulfill my jar of happiness so I was looking for something out of the box.
Driven by chaos in my head, I decided to post my podcast because I love talking. You can give me a topic and I can converse for hours on that. Little did I know that my first podcast would get 5,000 views. I was startled to see the reaction and thus I continued to grow as a podcaster. Along with podcasts, my mother and I are big fans of handmade cosmetics. She possesses ample knowledge in the field of cosmetics so I tried to convince her to commence a business. It took me little time to encourage my parents but I succeeded in doing that. Nevertheless, my determination brought in several suggestions from my relatives. Thus, our startup, Neera Naturals came into existence on 10th June 2021. My mother looks after the production part of my company. Whereas, I look after the marketing and sales, and everything else in the company. All our products are handmade and most of them are vegan. We are also looking forward to coming up with shampoo bars and launching a budget-friendly and organic perfume set.
Initially, it was hard for me to persuade people to purchase these products. Luckily, people are gradually understanding the value of these handmade products. I am sure, all of them will understand its importance one day. I launched Neera Naturals with the sole aim of turning it into a brand. And after all these hardships, we will make it together because we believe in being ourselves.
