TaalMell – Sustainability for Everyone

“Do you think you have the potential to run and flourish a business launched in the lockdown? Are you sure this isn’t just a time pass? Saara paisa duba toh nahi doge naa? These were some of many shots thrown at us when we decided to start TaalMell.

Harshi and I were fresh college graduates. We lost our campus placement offers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, on June 17, 2020, we decided to start our venture.

We wanted to deal with copper bottles because we were aware of the malpractices going on. I was once duped with the quality when I bought a bottle for myself. Having witnessed the dereliction of duty, we started with Intricately Designed Printed Copper Bottles with a guaranteed copper purity certificate. Then, we also started searching for more products and found out that Bamboo toothbrushes are being sold at Rs. 150.

Learning that sustainable products are very expensive, we decided to come up with a brand that can provide sustainability at a modest rate. And that’s how TaalMell was born!

While we were all elated to have our very own Eureka moment, this was just the beginning of what the future had in store for us. Coming from traditional business families, our parents weren’t certain about our E-commerce business trajectory.

And, with the entire COVID restrictions going on we were not able to get our company registered; even the samples of our products were delayed by months. We were running 6 months behind our original schedule.

While everyone around us perceived us as two inexperienced 20-year-olds who were ingenious to start in the middle of a pandemic, we were committed to our vision of providing the best plastic substitutes.

Soon, our efforts started to pay off as our bottles became a crowd favorite owing to their attractive range of exquisite prints, multifarious health benefits, and fair price.

Since then, we have been working tirelessly to broaden our range and incorporate as many plastic alternatives as possible. From the first thing we use in the morning to the combs we use or bowls we eat in or the recycled paper pens.

And, with a lot more in store, we are ready to upswing a revolution of change with your support and contribution, setting ashore a ‘TaalMell’ of efforts to Rescue and Reclaim our Earth.
