Sumedh-Dreams do come true!

Its Sumedh on the other side, and I am going to narrate to you all a story today, a real-life story.  I started cooking when I was a kid. My grandma used to taste my food and help me develop my culinary skills. In March 2018, I was invited to the Food Bloggers Association of India as a nominee for the Indian Food Bloggers Award. I was glad to know that I was the only one invited to the event from a city like Nagpur. At an event in Bangalore held by Swiggy India, I met Masterchef Australia’s fame Chef Sarah Todd. 

I was also an event executive at Curly Tales, where we held India’s biggest Pani Puri festival at R City Mall in Ghatkopar. In late 2019, I went to Nagpur Chowpatty, where they opened up a new automatic Pani Puri vending machine. Being a Pani Puri fan, I had to try it out. I uploaded a video of it on my TikTok account, and in the evening, a friend called me up to tell me that my video blew up and went viral with around 5 Million views within 4 hours. I could not believe him, so I went and checked it out only to find out it was true, and by the evening it had already crossed 12 million views. I got a call to work closely with TikTok, and we had a content manager who helped me to come up with creating new content to post. After my video got viral, he asked us creators to put up content on Pani Puri using the hashtag Pani Puri. Chefs like Sanjeev Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor too participated in it. Later that year, I was chosen as one of the top 10 Food creators in India by TikTok. In April 2020, I won a contest on TikTok called TikTok chefs, where I uploaded a recipe of Paneer Bhurji, and I was declared a winner by Chef Kunal Kapoor, where I won a prize of Rupees. 70,000 and got awarded by him, and it was the most surreal feeling. My eyes had teared up as I have always looked up to Chef Kunal Kapoor. He has been my only inspiration for creating content. My life until now has been full of miracles and hope my story made you understand that you shouldn’t ever settle for less because dreams do come true!
