Dilip Kumar is a cinematic icon and have a career spanning over five decades, he was last seen in the 1998 film Qila. The 98-year-old actor was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and was on oxygen support. Earlier, he complained of breathlessness and had been admitted to the PD Hinduja hospital in Mumbai.

His wife Saira Banu got emotional when he was discharged after a successful pleural aspiration procedure, from the hospital today. She waved at the paparazzi and expressed her happiness by saying: “Allah ka shukr hai Dilip saab ghar wapas aa gaye. I’m so happy today”.
