Questions and answers

Digital Marketing has become one of the most popular forms of brand promotion today. What made you take it up as your professional field?

I was working full time for agencies, private organizations, and even government institutions, and I could see a lot of them struggling because they didn’t know the basics. With the Digital boom, everyone till date keeps struggling with what is right and what is wrong for them at all levels.

I always wanted to figure out a solution, to make it better for the organizations, and, being in one organization restricted my scope of work, which is when I decided that I will start my individual consultancy and be there for
people who need one – to – one handholding and need some form of branding. I am happy to be a part of the brand journey at large.

What encouraged your decision of launching Maxworth Impact?

I think the encouragement came from within and my family, I belong to a business family and taking a leap of faith seemed a little easier. I’ve always been a go-getter and very outspoken, so everyone encouraged me to start my own consulting agency and it worked well for me. This is my third year and I’m counting for many more to come.

When you initially launched the program, what were some of the major roadblocks that you had to experience?

When I embarked on the journey, the roadblock that I had faced was that people didn’t know me enough to trust me and give me their money – which still is a roadblock. And, of course, Covid happened and everything was shut down which was a major setback for us. Building trust and delivering results it became my priority to cross all hurdles.

What is the biggest pet peeve of the digital marketing industry?

My biggest pet peeve would be the bargaining aspect. I hate bargaining for consultancy fees because time is valuable and people do not understand this. I’m all good with customer service, design but there should be work ethics in terms of payments, time and the vendor who is giving you services that need to be tackled. I hope there is some revolution in this regard and people are sensitized towards consultants.

Can you share with us your key strategies to remain at the top of your game?

I’m personally involved in everything that I do. Whether it is strategy, design or one on one communication, I tend to put my best foot forward.
My networking skills are very powerful as well. I always stop to say ‘hi’ or ‘hello’ to somebody I may know at work or a client that I had in the past. Doing my best and networking these are some techniques have always worked out for me.
