Athiya Shetty makes first public appearance with KL Rahul
Athiya Shetty made her first public appearance with her rumoured boyfriend cricketer KL Rahul at the premiere of the movie Tadap.
The couple also posed together for photographers after the movie premier.
The premiere of the film was attended by the entire Shetty family. KL Rahul posed with the Shettys in a family photo.
When Athiya’s family members were posing together, Rahul was hesitant as to where to stand. Suniel Shetty then told him to be with her daughter and they posed for the cameras.
Also, an inside photo from the event has surfaced online, in which Athiya is seen snuggling up to KL Rahul while he has a wide smile on his face.

The couple have shared many pictures of each other and with each other on their respective social media handles.
Rahul and Athiya have never admitted to being in a relationship. However, they often shower love on each other via Instagram posts. Last month, on her birthday, he shared pictures of them at a cafe and wrote, “Happy birthday my (heart emoji) @athiyashetty.”
Cricket tours
Apart from this social media relationship, the actress also travels with the cricketer on his international cricket tours.
Earlier this year, Athiya accompanied Rahul to England for the World Test Championship. He shared pictures of them chilling with Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma and other cricketers and their significant others.
It was reported that Rahul listed Athiya as his partner on the official document before going to play the World Test Championship final against New Zealand. However, Suniel Shetty said that Athiya had gone there with her brother.
“I think it is best you speak to them,” Shetty was quoted as saying in an interview with The Times of India. Shetty also dodged questions regarding Rahul’s relation with her daughter. “As far as the ad goes… I mean it is an international brand and they chose to take the two of them as the ambassadors. I think they look brilliant together. “They are a good-looking couple, na? So, it totally works from a brand perspective. And I must say, they look good together, well, in the ad (laughs!),” he said in an interview while dodging the question on Rahul’s relationship with his daughter Athiya Shetty.
However, with this public appearance alongside the Shetty Family, it seems like the couple is ready to embrace their relationship in public eye as well.
Tadap movie
Tadap is the debut movie for Ahan Shetty, brother of Athiya Shetty and the son of Sunil Shetty.
Before anyone could come out with the charge alleging nepotism, Ahan Shetty gave his clarification beforehand in an interview.
Ahan Shetty spoke of how he got the role purely on the basis of merit and not because of his father’s connections.
In an interview with PTI, Ahan Shetty said that he landed his first film purely on merit. “I was training for several years. I would meet producers and directors on sets as they are my father’s friends and colleagues but that doesn’t mean I would get a break from them. I wouldn’t say it was easy. Sajid sir saw my action and dance videos and called me. He asked me to send him a few audition tapes. Basically, it (me getting this film) wasn’t anything to do with my father being an actor. I got the film because of my talent,” he said.
During the photo session, Ahan was seen with his rumoured girlfriend Tania Shroff with whom he has been in a relationship for the last six years.
Suniel Shetty, who has been promoting Tadap on social media, posed with his son Ahan Shetty like a proud father post the special screening.
Tadap movie also stars Tara Sutaria in the female lead. Tadap has been directed by Milan Luthria. The trailer of the movie has been doing rounds on the internet already.
The film is all set to release in theatres on December 3.
