COVID-19 Third Wave ‘Inevitable’ In India

The coronavirus wreaked havoc across India during the first and second wave. COVID-19 not only affected everyone but also exposed the crippling public healthcare system of India. Presently, various states in India have started relaxing covid lockdown.

AIIMS Director, Dr. Randeep Guleria has stated that with lack of Covid-appropriate behavior, third wave could possibly hit India in 6 to 8 weeks. At a time when things are slightly moving towards normalcy, crowds have started building up. Dr. Guleria pointed that Indians haven’t learned enough from the outcomes of first and second wave. Covid-19 can mutate again, leaving a questionable crisis ahead.
