‘Dilip Joshi pens a heartfelt note for daughter’
Dilip Joshi, who is famously known for playing Jethalal in the hit TV show Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB channel, wrote a heartfelt note filled with emotions on his daughter’s Niyati’s special day.
With the note, Dilip Joshi also shared a few pictures from his daughter Niyati’s wedding ceremony. The pictures welcomed the “newest entrant” of the family, Dilip Joshi’s son-in-law Yashowardhan Mishra.
Yashowardhan Mishra is himself a film-maker by profession.

Wishing my little girl, Niyati and the newest entrant to the family, my son, Yashowardhan, the very best and so much more on this amazing journey! Dilip’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah co-star Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal commented on his post, “God bless.” Actor Tannaz Irani wrote, “Omg what feelings these pictures bring out in me! Almost feel like I was there! Congratulations and best wishes to the couple. You and Mala have done a brilliant job bringing her up! God bless.”
Weddings are a joyous occasion, and the groom’s artist-friend Janhavi Sharma described the wedding as ‘magical’. She also shared a few IG stories from the celebration.
Fans, in the mood to have fun, also made a reference to Jethalal, Dilip’s character from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, with some joking that his English caption was a result of roaming around too much with Babita ji (Munmum Dutta), who is portrayed as a “friend” of Jethalal who is greatly admired by him.
“Popatlal ki bhi krva do sir ji (Get Popatlal married too, sir),” one fan wrote, referring to Shyam Pathak’s character, Popatlal Pandey, who continues to try to get married but without much success.
However, many wished the happy couple with lifetime worth of happiness and gave their blessings.
“Congratulations to @noyonika @yashowardhanm Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. May their love shine throughout the years. wishing them all the love in the world. May their love grow stronger every day and as they grow old together @maakasamdilipjoshi,” one said.

Niyati-Yashowardhan’s wedding
Dilip Joshi took to Instagram to share pictures from his daughter’s intimate wedding at Taj Mahal Hotel in Nashik, Maharashtra.
The wedding celebrations began last week on December 10 with a sangeet ceremony consisting of dandiya and dhol. Some pictures on social media show that it was a night of dance, dandiya and dhol.
The ceremony was performed as per traditional Gujarati rituals. Wedding photographer The Grape Studio also shared a few images from the festivities on their Instagram page.
Niyati’s bridal look
The bride flaunted her grey mane, and dazzled in a cream-red Banarasi silk saree with heavy gold zari embroidery. She completed her look with a layered-pearl necklace, matching earrings, an elaborate maang tika and a floral bun.
Yashowardhan’s groom look
The groom was colour coordinated with the bride and he contrasted her perfectly as a groom dressed impeccably. He opted for a cream Sherwani with gold embroidery and a red stoll.
Mr. and Mrs. Joshi’s look The parents of the bride were also dressed to the colours of the wedding celebration. While Joshi looked dapper, giving complex to all the younger ones, in a cream sherwani with self-embroidery. While Mrs Joshi wore a red banarasi silk saree with heavy zari detail.
