‘Dragon Man’: Discovery of Man’s Nearest Ancestor

Dragon Man

The discovery of a human skull in northeast China is initiating a new study. Known as ‘Dragon Man’ by Chinese researchers, this skull is far from ordinary. It represents a new human species – Homo longi. The lineage is ready to replace our closest-ancestor ‘Neanderthals’.

The skull belongs to a mature male having a huge brain. Hidden and eventually abandoned for 85 years, it is capable of changing the origin of Homo sapiens.

It is estimated to be 140,000 years old. ‘I think this is one of the most important finds of the past 50 years’ says Professor Stringer.
