Good news for the budget buyers! Reliance and Jio have collaborated to build a super affordable smartphone. Known as JioPhone, Mukesh Ambani announced it on June 24.
As an outcome of the partnership, this android smartphone comes with next-generation optimised features. JioPhone Next is set to launch in India on September 10. This phone also offers Google Play Store access, voice assistant and language translation.
‘India still has nearly 300 million mobile users who are unable to escape from inefficient and exorbitant 2G services… because even a basic 4G smartphone remains unaffordable for these users’, Ambani says.
This phone can give tough competition to Xiaomi, Samsung and Realme, as it also has entry-level specifications.
