“Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi 3” actress Erica Fernandes quits the show over dissatisfaction with the portrayal of her character, Sonakshi Bose.
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi 3’s lead character Sonakshi was played by Erica Fernandes till now. It is unknown what will be the future course of action post her resignation.
The chatter of the show once again going off air was floating over the internet. None of the cast members or the crew members had reacted to these rumours, but the sudden exit by the lead actress Erica has raised questions over the continuity of the show.
In a post, actress Erica Fernandes opened up and shared her reasons behind her abrupt departure from the show. She wrote, “To start with I would like to thank everyone who loved Kuch rang right from its conception. The immense love we were showered with was heart touching. Due to various reasons when the show had to go off air the first time, the power n love from the very same Kuch rang family pulled us back once again on screen nearly after a month of it going off-air. Because of the very same Kuch rang family we were more than thrilled to come back once again with so much enthusiasm.”
Erica Fernandes further added, “As for Sonakshi a character so dear to you and me, a character that was an inspiration to many, a character who was so strong, smart, balanced … the Sonakshi we once witnessed in seasons 1 & 2, the one we expected to see this season too but unfortunately we had to see the complete opposite of what she was.”
Further, she insisted her admirers to remember her Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi character Sonakshi from the first two seasons and not how she was portrayed in the current season, “I hope you’ll always remember Sonakshi from the first 2 seasons and not how weak and confused she was made to look this season where in, in the first 2 seasons putting aside everything else. She at least had a job and an office to go to and not where she had to sit at home doing just nothing.”
The unexpected move by Erica Fernandes has left her fans a bit disheartening. However, few fans are applauding her decision of taking a stand and making the wise choice by leaving the show. The fans of the show resonated with her and expressed their dismay over the third edition of the hit franchise.
“S1 and S2 are masterpiece for us! They are iconic! S3 was unexpected and unrealistic…” said a user while praising the decision taken by Erica Fernandes.

Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi first aired in 2016 and became an instant hit amongst the fans of the show. The show has been taken off air twice, however, it has always made a comeback due to the immense love showered on it by the fans of the show.
The show features Shaheer Sheikh as Dev, the lead male character and Erica Fernandes as Sonakshi, the lead female character. The show also features veteran actress Supriya Pilgaonkar as the mother of Dev.
The daily soap is a tale of Dev (Shaheer Sheikh), a successful businessman who loses his father at a very young age and gets attached to his mother, Ishwari Dixit (Supriya Pilgaonkar), and Sonakshi Bose, a young and vibrant nutritionist.
Their love story is often plagued by Ishwari’s disapproval and contempt, who fears that she will be replaced by Sonakshi in the life of Dev.
