Kangana Ranaut is the queen of controversy and has always been in the limelight for her bold and provoking statements. After consecutive failure at the box office, Kangana is now all set to don herself as a host of a new reality show- Lock up.

The trailer of this ‘badass jail’ was released on Wednesday and it says a lot about the theme of the show. This show will hail 16 controversial Indian celebrities as participants where they will have to survive tough challenges for 72 days and there will be no room for comfort or the lifestyle that they are used to. However, the audience can intervene to punish or reward their chosen contestants and can even play ‘khabri’ to some. The show will stream from February 27 9n Alt Balaji and MX player.
My jail, my rules – Host Kangana
In the trailer, Kangana can be seen as a ravishing jailer who will leave no stone unturned when it’s about the game. Taking about the game she said, “ Living here is no less than a dream… a bad one, though!” Walking through the jail corridor, Kangana states how dangerous the ‘Lock Upp’ world is, and it will be a nightmare! 16 controversial celebrities will be put together in Lock Upp for months and stripped of their amenities. Forget about fulfilling their high demands, and the contestants will be locked up in show’s prison with people they can’t see eye-to-eye. To avoid eviction, the celebrity contestants have no option but to reveal their dark secrets to the entire world, which will take the excitement level”
Kangana excited for this launch
From Kangana’s look to her attitude in the trailer is just a glimpse for the audience as to what enthralling entertainment awaits on the other side of the show. Although the show seems to based on a similar concept as Bigg Boss but Kangana has her word on this one as well. Giving a sneak peek about the show, Kangana said, “Unlike other reality shows, ‘Lock Upp’ is being launched on a massive scale and has all the elements that make for an entertaining reality show. The concept of the show is brilliant and never-seen-before, as you must have seen in the trailer, and I am sure that it will captivate the viewers and set a new standard for reality shows!” She also thanked her boss-lady Ekta for being her support and also expressed her admiration and respect for the producer of the show.
Karan Johar- yet again
Kangana never lets of any chance to drag Karan Johar’s name . At the event, when Kangana was questioned as to whom she would like to lock up in her jail first. The reply from her side did not surprised anyone. She said “I would like to lock up my best friend Karan Johar ji, in my jail and host him there. Along with him, I’d even like to put Ekta Kapoor.”
Kangana had blatantly roasted Karan Johar on his show Koffee with Karan and called him the ‘flag-bearer of nepotism’ and ‘movie-mafia’ Ever since then the actress has brought Karan’s name in every other matter. During the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case as well she targeted the director and other Bollywood star kids.
Contestant’s name not revealed
The trailer showed contestants who are put behind the jail and even handcuffed. But, it is still not known who are those going to be? Speculations are being made that actors like Aditya Singh Rajput, Anushka Sen, Sushmita Sen’s former boyfriend Rohman Shawl might appear on the show.
