Malala Yousafzai gets married to Asser Malik in a small ceremony performed at her house in Birmingham.
The 24-year old Nobel Laureate posted the Nikaah pictures on her social media accounts.
Sharing images of their wedding on Twitter, the 24-year-old activist wrote, “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”

Decked up in a tea pink suit and simple jewellery, Yousafzai is seen carrying out the wedding formalities in her home in Birmingham with Malik, where he has gone on vacation.
Asser Malik is a general manager at Pakistan Cricket Board’s high proformance centre.
Malala Yousafzai is an avid cricket fan who supports Pakistan whenever she can.
The couple first met 2 years ago and became friends. They have since been keeping in touch with each other and finally decided to get married after seeking permission from their parents and families.
According to a source in the PCB, Malik is a top performing officer in the cricket board. He joined PCB’s High Performance Centre in Lahore nearly two years back as manager. “But due to his hardwork and output he has now been promoted to the post of general manager,” the source said.
Interestingly, Malala stirred up a controversy recently when she said in an interview to the Vogue magazine in June that she will probably never marry.
Yousafzai, an Oxford graduate, revealed that she is not sure if she will ever marry. “I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership?” she had said.
In less than 5 months of the statement, Malala is tying the knot to Malik.

Several Pakistani stars also wished Malala and Asser. “I am so happy for you. Congratulations to you sweetheart,” actor Zara Noor Abbas Siddiqui wrote. Social media influencer Dananeer Mobeen, known for the ‘Pawri ho rahi hai’ meme, wrote, “OMG MASHAALLAH! Congratulations.” Singer Meesha Shafi wrote, “Buhat buhat Mubarik (many many congratulations) @malala.” Actor Adnan Malik wrote, “Beautiful! Love & blessings to both of your.”

Yousafzai gained international recognition for her activism against the Taliban’s efforts to stop girls from attending school in Pakistan.
When she was 15, she was shot in the head by a member of the Taliban in October 2012 and was flown to the UK to receive treatment.
In 2014, she won the Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 17, becoming the youngest laureate of the prize. She shared the prize with child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi.
Last year, she graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Malala still cannot return to Pakistan as her security is an issue over there. Her attackers have threatened her over twitter by saying that “there will be no mistake next time”.
In 2015, an American documentary titled He Named Me Malala was made on her life. The film, directed by Davis Guggenheim, garnered five nominations at the 68th annual Emmy Awards.
Malala’s life is also the subject of Gul Makai, a Bollywood film starring Om Puri, Divya Dutta, Atul Kulkarni, Mukesh Rishi and Pankaj Tripathi.
