Nitin Naik: Petals of Love

Life changes overnight and unexpectedly. Never in my wildest dream, did I imagine that my life will be rinsed with radiant petals of love. I still remember the time when Nitin came from Raipur to Odisha to see me at my place. We met through an arranged alliance. Regardless, it is more like a love marriage. His lovely smile was enough for me to believe in love at first sight. However, I never knew that I would fall for someone so perfect. Before I met him, I was nothing less than an introverted person but he changed everything for me.

I had never known him before we met in my place but he was so comfortable being around that the moment we saw each other, we talked for an hour. His positive outlook on life makes everything lenient. After our first encounter on 7th July, our parents asked us if we are okay with this marriage, and none of us had any problem. Well, who can say no to such an adorable soul? We instantly entwined and I knew that I can be with him forever.

 I agreed to marry him without any second thought as he made everything extremely effortless for me. We held our engagement on the 14th of July, and on the same day, he proposed to me. It was the best evening of my life because I had no idea that I would be with the type of man I always dreamt about. The only impediment between us was our work and distance. He often asked me if I’ll be able to adjust to the outskirts of the city because I was relishing my city life and he was working there. But, I wanted nothing more than him so all I could reply was, “I’ll be there where you are.” This way our arranged marriage was beautifully turned into a love marriage. Right after that, we greeted everybody with a big fat smile at our wedding on 18th July. Everyone in our family was happy but I believe I was the happiest of all.

I was never into gaming but he acquainted me with how to play PS4. Not just that but I always yearned to play guitar. Surprisingly, he is my guitar guide now. Whenever I feel stressed, a talk with him vanishes it all.  

From being my guitar guide to teaching me how to live it’s literally been a dreamy affair for us.
