Parul Aggarwal: From striving to winning
When I was in class 10th, I realized that I want to become an architect. I was so keen on working in this profession that I did not opt for any other exam and worked to crack the entrances for architecture.
My passion for this domain got me working in the 3rd year itself. Receiving my first paycheck in the 3rd year was like a dream come true for me. Since then I have never flinched.
Shortly I started my training and then worked for around 3 years. However, the urge to start something that I could call my own was not leaving my head. Consequently, I commenced my own company and labored arduously for its expansion. Nevertheless, it opened the doors to a lot of roadblocks for me and my husband as we do not have any godfather in business. Managing both home and company was a tough call but we did not give in. We burnt the midnight oil together. I recall I used to sleep at 2 am every night. I also travelled extensively, painted and took short breaks to unwind. Eventually, all our hard work paid off when people started recognizing us by our names and faces. After some time, my child was born which was like another fight for me. But the best part is that being strong has its windfalls.
In the end, things worked out quite well for us. Our company gained a reputation, people started comprehending us and along with that we even indulge in a lot of social work to help the underprivileged sections of society. After all the turbulences in life, I know that life will always offer you the best if you don’t give up on yourself.
