Poonam Pandey hospitalised; husband arrested
Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay (Sam Ahmed) has been arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly hitting the actress. Poonam Pandey is currently admitted in a hospital.
The actress has reportedly suffered head, face and eye injury.
“The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face,” the Mumbai police said, according to ANI.
In an interview with Spotboye, Poonam Pandey hinted at forgiving him and withdrawing the FIR against her husband.
She told the portal, “I got beaten up very badly this time, it was a half murder. I don’t know for how many days I was in the hospital.”
Because he is just crying in front of me and I really don’t know what to do? Every time he just beat me up and later starts crying saying sorry. This time also he did the same and promised it will not happen again and I will treat you good. But this is something he keeps doing always. Because of him I got a brain haemorrhage,” she added.
This is the second time when Poonam Pandey has alleged domestic violence against her husband Sam. Last year, the couple were honeymooning in Goa when the actress filed an FIR against her husband for hitting her.
Sam was taken into custody then, but was soon released on conditional bail the very next day. Poonam Pandey had also stated that she would be ending her marriage with her husband but the couple soon patched up their differences. After Sam was granted bail, he said “which marriage does not have its ups and downs.”
Poonam and Sam were in a live-in relationship for 2 years. Poonam Pandey informed of her engagement through her social media accounts on 27th July.
The couple later tied the knot on 1st September at their Bandra residence in a private ceremony. Sharing a picture from their wedding, she wrote on Instagram, “Here’s looking forward to seven lifetimes with you.”

Pregnancy rumour
Recently, it was reported that Poonam Pandey is expecting a baby with her husband. The report claimed she got herself examined while the couple was in Goa and that she was six weeks pregnant. However, the actress later rubbished the news and cleared the air around the rumour.
According to her, while it might be good news for many women, it was not so for her as she was not pregnant for real. Poonam also added that she will distribute sweets when she really gets pregnant.
Raj Kundra Case
Poonam Pandey had filed a criminal case in the Bombay High Court against Raj Kundra and his associates for using her app despite their agreement being terminated in April 2019. She also alleged that Kundra was using her content to make money for himself. The actress claimed to have been receiving obscene calls from past 6 months. Raj Kundra had reportedly clarified that he was not aware of the petition as he had left the venture in December 2019.
2011 Strip bet
Back in 2011, Poonam Pandey rose to fame after she promised her fans that she would strip down naked if India wins the World Cup. Despite India’s victory, the actress was unable to fulfill her promise as she did not get permission from the cricket board for obvious reasons.
Illegal “obscene” photoshoot
Poonam Pandey was detained by the Goa Police last year in November for allegedly trespassing into a government property and shooting an “obscene” video there. She was booked for participating in a controversial photoshoot at a restricted dam site in South Goa. Two policemen were also suspended after several residents of Canacona town in South Goa district alleged misuse of government permits for the shoot.
