President Ram Nath Kovind Bows Down to His Native Village

Ram Nath Kovind

On June 28, President of India Ram Nath Kovind started his three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. The very first destination in his schedule is his native village Paraunkh. He paid homage to the Pathri Mata temple there.

He bowed down to the ground and touched the soil there thus, paying obeisance to the place of his birth. ‘I’d never imagined even in my dreams that an ordinary boy like me from a village would get the privilege of discharging responsibilities of the highest office of the country. But our democratic system has made it possible’, the President says.
