Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Bollywood and now a Hollywood celebrity as well, is known for her outspoken attitude towards the ordeals of womanhood and the persistent sexism omnipresent in all spheres of life.
Recently, Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to call out a media report addressing her as “Wife of Nick Jonas”. She criticised the outlet for introducing her as Nick’s wife, ignoring all her other work achievements.
The famous actress shared the screenshots of the media report and raised questions on why such discrimination was still prevalent in the industry.
While sharing the screengrabs, the actress also wrote, “Very interesting that I’m promoting one of the most iconic film franchises of all time, and I’m still referenced as ‘the wife of…’”.
Priyanka Chopra added, “Please explain how this still happens to women? Should I add my IDMB link to my bio?”
She even tagged her husband, singer Nick Jonas in her post.
Priyanka Chopra raised the question as to why Nick Jonas was even mentioned in the media article even though he is not a part of the movie at all.
Priyanka has earlier called out Wendy William on her show of calling Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s girlfriend, pointing out how it was reducing her body of work to her relationship status.
