I loved to paint and do artistic things since I was little. I am a graduate in Fine Arts and Painting.
I had once uploaded an embroidered brooch from my account. As soon as it went online, people started pouring a lot of love, which inspired me to take it further. It has been three years since I make accessories and let me tell you all that soaking myself in Art is an inexplicably beautiful feeling. By the name @rainbow_tales_byrhichita on Instagram, you will find me making a lot of hand-embroidered earrings, brooches, and other accessories and selling them online.
When I had started my business, the huge problem that came my way was my inexperience of handling business as it grew. It was very hard as I was from an Arts background, but I learned to manage eventually. I do intricate work on my accessories and use everything eco-friendly from the packaging to the colors that I use.
I had never imagined that a rough picture of a brooch that I posted years back could make me a self-made entrepreneur today.
I have been subjected to questions like, “How are you going to make a living out of it?” and “Why don’t you do a 9 to 5 job,” and it had made me depressed to the extent that I wanted to give up on it. It gradually struck me that I was an artist, and my purpose is to serve people through Art, and I cannot let anyone else decide what I want to do for the rest of my life.
