Questions and answers

Can you give an overview of what numerology is about and when should one consult a numerologist?

Numerology is the study of the nine planets that revolve in the solar system. God has given three planets by birth to every individual and numerology is the detailed study of these three planets that are hidden in our date of birth. When you come to a stage where you have to make an important decision of your life and you aren’t sure about it, numerology acts as a guiding light.

How did you first come to terms with your spiritual self? What compelled you to explore this side of yours?

This was not chosen by me, it can be said that destiny chose me to follow this path because after having 56 certificates and accomplishments in my life academically, I became a numerologist. Also, I am deeply indebted to my mother who is also my guru. She is also a renowned numerologist for the last four decades.

Can you talk about the role played by your family and acquaintances that enabled you to bring out the best in you and find your true calling?

No one can achieve anything in life without unconditional family support because you need them when you go through highs and lows. I have a small family comprising of my single mother, sadly we lost my father when I was 9 and my brother was 5. Financially and socially, she was our support system, and even today, she always has my back. After marriage, I have reached here because of my husband’s support. He and my 10-year-old son both are extremely proud of me. I feel blessed to have such a loving and encouraging family.

When you were initially starting off, what were some of the major obstacles that you had to get past to reach where you are today?

Being a woman is a big challenge when you wish to become independent. When you are young, you are not taken seriously as people feel you are inexperienced. Also, I preferred working from home and not having a professional setup, so I mostly took clients through references. However, the pandemic was a blessing in disguise as I became more approachable to the world and I could interact with people online. In a way, technology has helped me reach out to a greater audience.

What are some of the aspects that you believe people should keep in mind, once they begin to explore numerology?

Numerology is not magic, it’s a proper study to know about the future and acts as a navigator. It cannot change your destiny; you will have to face what you are supposed to. We should have a positive approach towards life and believe that the solution lies within us.

You mentioned that you believe you are the chosen one, who has been instrumental in nurturing and shaping the future of individuals through the science of nine planets. Can you elaborate a bit on that?

In my profession, I cannot approach people, instead, they have to approach me when they require help. So, I am a life coach as I am guiding, motivating, and inspiring them in some way or the other. Their messages are full of gratitude, which motivates me even more. This is why I feel I am the chosen one.

As a Vaastu Consultant, can you provide some tips and factoids for our readers that can help them in their daily lives?

As many people are working from their homes, people have to make sure that they are not sitting in a cluttered area. You should place your workstation against a study wall and not in the middle of the room. Also, you have to have some green plants in the northeast direction because it’s the Isan corner of the house. Avoid keeping shoe racks at the entrance of the house as it brings many obstacles.

When you started on this journey, what were some of the strategies you adopted to promote your work, and what were some of the major platforms you relied upon?

From day one, I have been coming into the media. When people see you come in the newspaper, they start valuing your work. Rest I feel mouth publicity is the best because it is genuine. And when you have one-to-one customers, they gradually become your family and you don’t need any such strategies. Social media also played a very important role in making me more visible.

What impact did the pandemic have on your professional life and how did you strive against the drawbacks that accompanied it?

I never had to face any drawbacks related to my work. The pandemic, was fruitful professionally which of course, was never the intention as I worked 22 hours a day. People who know me are aware of the fact that I sleep for only 2 hours. I worked hard because everybody had a fear of death and wanted to know what was next. The pandemic helped me irradiate people’s mental issues and even spiritually we went deeper because we have faith that there is always a better tomorrow.

You mentioned that you are a true believer of “karma” - a word subjected to numerous interpretations with time. What is your view on it?

I am 42 years old and a President of an NGO with 5000 children under me. Whatever you give, comes back to you. So, I work hard to feed the underprivileged because they are not privileged naturally but I am.

Apart from your work, you are also involved in several social projects. What are the factors that drive your humanitarian persona?

I am the President of an NGO for the past 7 years by the name Golden Lioness Club Anaya and there is a personal reason behind serving dedicatedly to the underprivileged. I feel very contented that socially, I have been able to fulfil my dream of helping the needy and doing my bit of contributing towards society. It is like my happy place.
