The Cosmo Box - Your Occasions Our Curations
The Cosmo Box founder, Vidushi Poddar Kedia says, “After working in the corporate sector for a year I realised it wasn’t my cup of tea. I’ve always wanted to do something of my own. Growing up, I looked up to my mother who is the powerhouse of art, creativity & ideas. I also aimed to do something in the designing field. But the question was what?
So, when I moved to Hyderabad after marriage I asked myself – ‘What is that one service I can add to this city?’ Soon, I discovered that there weren’t many companies in the customised gifting field. So, I decided to be one – The Cosmo Box was born!
I was a new girl in the city adjusting into a new family; and to top that, I started The Cosmo Box in the middle of a pandemic – It was a huge challenge. I didn’t know the vendors and markets here, I wasn’t acquainted with any potential clients. That’s when my family stepped in. While my in-laws helped me grow familiar with the locals; my husband took me around the city whenever possible.
And just within a month, I got my first ever client! It was an order for 20 hampers for employees at a Bank. I was beaming with joy when I delivered the hampers. Ever since our inception in Nov20′ we have sold over 500+ hampers across the country. Last month I cracked one of my biggest orders ever! It was 100+ hampers for a birthday!
It’s been 8 months into this venture and running a one-woman show does get tedious at times. On such days, my family always got my back. Be it the last moment stickering or packing, they are always up! We’ve had late nights and early mornings, but at the end of it were the bright smiles of the clients! But, if there is someone who is the happiest of all, then it’s me!
Becoming a part of the special occasions of someone’s life is certainly worth all the hard work. My main motto with the Cosmo Box has always been to bring a smile on someone’s face through well-curated, thoughtful gifts and hampers. And as long as there are occasions and moments that I can cater to, this motto of mine shall long live!”
